The place is beautiful, and unfortunately, that was the only expectation they fulfilled. I had high hopes for this place since it’s hyped on Instagram; the food isn’t bad, but it’s not something my taste buds will crave or even remember.

I came here to eat and drink with some friends to celebrate my birthday. We ordered everything we wanted, and the waiter told us he couldn’t sell us alcohol if we were under 18. Once he realized we were all over 18, he raised the minimum age to 21. We were all over 21, so we started showing our IDs, thinking age was the issue (it was my 27th birthday, by the way). He made it seem like everything was fine and acted like we would be treated just like the other clients around us.

The night went on, and while every food course was brought out — from entrée to dessert — no drinks were served for almost 3 hours (not even the iced teas or smoothies). We asked what the issue was, and the waiter said they had run out of alcohol. Of course, no one believed that, since people around us were having drinks. After insisting, they eventually told us the manager had refused to sell us alcohol. It seems this was because we were a group of 9 Latin Americans — even though there was a much larger group of French youngsters inside, having drinks as usual — but we were the issue.

All in all, just don’t celebrate anything here if you don’t want the staff at Muskaan to ruin your experience. Avoid this place if you’re hoping to enjoy food and drinks with friends — especially if you’re...

I recently dined at Muskaan Restaurant in Hay Riyad with my wife and friends, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The food portions were smaller than expected, and the prices were not justified by the quantity or quality. The taste of the food was disappointing, and overall, we were quite unhappy with our meal.

Additionally, the restaurant’s cleanliness was concerning. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the floor sink under the tables, which significantly impacted our dining experience. To make matters worse, the restroom was located underground in front of the kitchen, which was not ideal. Terrible Buffet Experience Not Worth It!

I went to this restaurant on time for their buffet, expecting a variety of food, but I was extremely disappointed. By the time I got there, most of the dishes were either empty or had barely anything left, and they never got refilled. What’s the point of calling it a buffet if there’s no food?

The meat station was a joke you’re only allowed two tiny pieces, and that’s it. As for the sushi, don’t even bother. The sushi chef doesn’t let you take what you want; instead, he decides what you get and won’t serve you again if you ask for more.
