Ober Mamma — Restaurant in Agdal Riyad أكدال الرياض

The place is in an awesome spot in the center of the capital but unfortunately the staff there is one of the worst. We went there for an evening coffee but turned out to change our minds quickly after they ( I think the owners who were sitting on a table with just bottles of water ) saw us coming with some food boxes and refusing to serve us drinks arguing that they just have food ( in fact, we wanted drinks and one of our friends wanted to dine there ). When we saw another waiter giving other people their drinks we asked about why they gave them drinks while we were told they don’t have them, the waiter told us that the hot drinks machine was broke that day so there was no possibility we can have drinks. This was reaaly rude and really SHAMEFUL, a restaurant there should provide high quality services. We will definitely never go back there again. My friends and I had a nice dinner at Ober Mamma, we tried different pasta and pizza dishes, they offer many good options. I had the classic lasagna that was soo delicious, the ragu was really good and thick enough, the pasta sheets were cooked nicely and the price was right, also it was a pretty big piece I couldn't even finish it. All the dishes we had were tasty, the prices were rational and the portions were big. We tried a few dessert options, their nougat icecream, their tiramisu and their mango cheesecake. They all were delicious the tiramisu was not too sweet, the cream was light and the coffee flavour was on point, the nougat icecream was sweet and creamy. Overall, we had a nice experience at this lovely restaurant, and did I mention that the seating is beautiful and their playlist is immaculate because we were absolutely in love. I recently discovered this restaurant. My friend recommended it for our date. We ordered two crepes full of chocolate 🍫 😋 and caramel with lemon juice, it was so good and delicious.
