By far one of the worst coffee shops I’ve experienced in my months in Rabat.

TERRIBLE service, and the worst cappuccino I’ve had here - which is saying something, because I’ve had some bad ones. I’m literally heading to my favorite coffee shop now as penance, and to wash the taste of this awful coffee out of my mouth. Weak, bitter, and room temperature dreck. Even 4 sugar cubes couldn’t save it. Just made it weak, bitter, room temperature, and too sugary.

As bad as the cappuccino was, the service was even worse! She overcharged me, then tried to short change me as well. I paid for my 24 dh coffee with a 50, for which she said she had no change. Menu says 22, by the way, but I thought fine, 2 dh tip included. But then 30 minutes later when she finally change, she gave me 25, making the coffee 25. Nothing in US currency, I know— this ain’t Starbucks— but I didn’t appreciate her second attempt to overcharge.

Plus, since when does it take 15 minutes to make a cappuccino? Answer: it doesn’t. She simply didn’t ever bring it out to me. When I went back to the counter it was just sitting there waiting for me. When I took the first sip I should have asked for my money back right then and there, and headed to my coffee shop right away, rather than drinking that slop. So now I’m about to have the best cappuccino I’ve found in Rabat so far, served by a friendly waiter, all for half the cost of the Simple...

During my time in Rabat for a conference, I made it a daily ritual to stop by and grab an iced Americano—it quickly became one of my favorite memories of the trip. The vibe here is perfect for working, and the staff, especially the lovely ladies, are so friendly and welcoming. One of them even remembered my regular order, making me feel right at home ❤️.

On my last day I unexpectedly ran into one of the staff members on the street, and she went out of her way to help me find a nearby salon. It was such a kind gesture and completely made my day! My friend and I chose this café at random, as there are many coffee shops in the same area. However, this one stood out as the best. I ordered two milkshakes, both of which were delicious.
