Rabat Agdal station is one of the main train stations in the Moroccan capital Rabat, located in the Agdal district. The original station was established in 1925, and was rebuilt and opened in its new form in 2018 to accompany the operation of the high-speed train "Al Boraq".

The station features a modern design that takes into account environmental standards, as energy-efficient technologies such as LEDs and light panels were used. The station includes a new passenger building with an area of 23,000 square meters, six platforms with a length of 400 meters, ten tracks, in addition to garages with a capacity of 800 cars.

The station aims to keep pace with the urban growth of the capital "Rabat, the City of Lights", by creating a multi-service center that includes offices, shops, and hotels. It is also designed to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility, as it is equipped with special crossings and passages, waiting seats, a dedicated ticket window, and suitable sanitary facilities.

Gare Rabat Agdal in Rabat, Morocco is a vast ultra-modern, air-conditioned train station for high-speed trains operated by Morocco's national train system, ONCF.

The massive structure is on multiple levels and has several escalators and glass-enclosed elevators, immense skylights, food businesses that include a Starbucks and MOOJOOD. There is a two-level McDonald’s with two indoor and one outdoor seating areas. This McDonald’s has its own elevator and two dumb-waiters to transport food from the kitchen to the upper level.

The station also has a Banque Populaire, a CashPlus and several ATM machines.

The Gare Rabat Agdal also has a variety other fast-food shops, a pharmacy, travel agency, gift shops and two rooms where you can buy or exchange ONCF train tickets.

Gare rabat ville: Implantée sur le boulevard Mohammed V, artère majeure qui s’étend du palais royal à la médina, la gare historique occupe une position stratégique et constitue un lieu remarquable dans la ville. Intervenir sur un tel monument appelle une parfaite compréhension du vocabulaire architectural de l’édifice.

Ce projet s'ancre dans le paysage urbain par son ombrière unifiante.Cette dernière naît d'une interprétation contemporaine du vocabulaire architectural de l’ancienne gare. Assurant lacouverture du nouveau parvis et de la nouvelle gare, elle encadre l’ancien monument historique et le magnifie. L’image de la gare historique résonne avec la modernité de son nouvel écrin. Cette structure enveloppante intègre aussi la station de tram, et forme un large portique surplombant le nouveau parvis, ce qui signale l’entrée principale sur parvis. De forme anguleuse, bisotée et brillante telle une pièce de joaillerie, cet objet plastique à dimension fortement symbolique, est avant tout un ouvrage technique environnemental dont l’écriture s’inspire du vocabulaire ornemental de la frise de la gare existante.

La structure porteuse est constituée d’un treillis de poutre tridimensionnel d’une hauteur de 2 mètres assurant une portée structurelle importante. Ceci limite considérablement le nombre de poteaux. Les croisillons sont habillés de panneaux en aluminium blanc, reconstituant le motif ornemental principal de la frise. Les porteurs latéraux reprennent quant à eux le tracé de la partie basse de la frise. Habillé de vitrage aux différentes qualités, (transparents, opaques sérigraphiés, photovoltaïques, ou intégrant des panneaux solaires thermiques), cette ombrière constitue une peau intelligente. L’ornement devient structurant et fonctionnel. Cette association de la symbolique et de la fonctionnalité est un hommage à l’écriture « arts-déco - marocaine», capable de mettre fortement en valeur l’édifice historique.

Tant par la superficie des emprises ferroviaires non exploitées, que par sa localisation stratégique, les potentialités du site sont immenses.
