My experience at Mood's Café-Restaurant today was quite interesting, although I did have a few concerns. The overall ambiance had a promising feel, yet there were certain aspects that left me feeling a bit unsatisfied.

Firstly, the view from the restaurant was disappointing. Its location facing the "chantier Naval" and Casablanca port meant that rocks and sand from the depot obstructed what could have been a much nicer vista.

The staff's behavior also caught my attention. The Moroccan original staff members didn't seem as friendly as I had hoped. In contrast, the sub-Saharan staff went out of their way to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

During our meal, a small issue arose when our order was incomplete. We had ordered the "Petit déjeuner 'Made in France' 85​ Dhs," which included a bottle of water, yet it was missing when our food was served. When I brought this to their attention, their response lacked genuine concern or apology; they simply mentioned they would bring it later.

Additionally, there was a challenge in finding the restroom. When I inquired about its location, the staff vaguely gestured and said it's "over there." However, I couldn't help but notice that a female client received much more attentive guidance when asking about seating options. This difference in treatment felt unfair and discriminatory.

On the whole, my visit to Mood's Café-Restaurant had some positive aspects, such as the diverse staff and the pleasant ambiance. Nevertheless, there were issues with the view, staff interactions, and service consistency. Moreover, the culinary experience was also subpar. For instance, the café-crème lacked the expected richness, and the omelette lacked the finesse of a French-influenced dish. Even the toast with chocolate spread fell short of the French-inspired label it carried, and the yogurt seemed like it was prepared with minimal effort.

In conclusion, the food at Mood's Café-Restaurant failed to meet the expectations set by its French-inspired menu and name. It lacked the distinct flavors and finesse that one would anticipate. I am hopeful that the establishment can focus on improving their culinary offerings to genuinely reflect the essence of French cuisine and provide all clients with a more satisfying and memorable dining experience.
