Cafe Imperial — Restaurant in Mechouar

After exploring the charming Habbous district and soaking in its Moroccan culture and mood, we stopped by Café Imperial. The waiter was friendly and welcoming, and although all the tables were full, we managed to find a spot after waiting a bit. It was sunset time — everyone around was enjoying sweets and tea while watching the golden light fade.

We sat near the passage, and I felt a bit uncomfortable at times when people brushed past or when I worried someone might spill hot tea nearby. But once you let yourself relax, you can truly appreciate the moment — the breathtaking view, the calm atmosphere, and the beauty of the sunset...

We absolutely loved Café Imperial in Casablanca! The coffee was fantastic, the atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, and the staff were simply amazing.

A small moment really touched our hearts, just as we sat down, a glass souvenir we had just bought accidentally fell and broke. Seeing how sad we were, the waiter quietly took the broken one and came back with a new glass as a gift. Such unexpected kindness and generosity. it truly showed the spirit of Moroccan hospitality.

What a nice cafe! Great location in front of main square, huge ancient government buildings (all closed to tourists). Large old trees add shade and atmosphere. Crowded but not hectic. Service fast and friendly, prices very good. The place could use some more comfort with seating and WC definitely needs improvement (like one more, a bit larger) but at least it works.
