La Cubanita — Restaurant in Tétouan

Whole staying on Tetuan, my husband and I thought we would try this new Mexican food restaurant. The owner greeted us, and we sat down at an outdoor table. We ordered the guacamole and seasoned chips to start. Delicious! The chips had slightly spicey seasoned salt on them. And they were not the traditional corn tortilla chips. They were flour tortilla chips. I really enjoy a good flour chip. We then ordered the Explosion Salad and Mexican beef tacos. The salad arrived at our table first, and it was huge. It had a wonderful variety of beans, tomatoes, cheese, chicken slices, and tortilla slices. It also had avocado slices, and it was served with a ranch type dressing. The Mexican beef tacos arrived aboit 15 minutes later, and they did not disappoint. The order came with three large soft tortilla tacos. The beef was a very nice sliced steak meat. This was a surprise to us because we assumed it would have come with ground hamburger. The meat was prepared perfectly. It was served with a slightly spicey sauce, which we ordered on the side just in case it was too hot. The sauce was delicious. I ate here with my family a couple days ago and had a great time. We shared some tacos and ordered different fajitas and quesedillas for ourselves. Everything was fantastic and fresh, especially the tacos. Some of the best Mexican we've had, better than a lot of Mexican food in the US.
