Min Lan Seafood Restaurant, located at the corner of Parami Road and West May Kha Road in Mayangone Township, Yangon, is renowned for its authentic Rakhine-style seafood dishes.

The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring fresh seafood prepared in traditional Rakhine cooking styles, including soups, curries, steamed and fried dishes, salads, and barbecued options. Notable dishes include the seafood fried rice, which combines squid, octopus, crab, fish, prawns, and vegetables, and the noodle salad, known for its generous portions of fish.

The atmosphere at Min Lan is described as relaxed and friendly, with an open terrace that provides a pleasant dining experience. The establishment is spacious, accommodating a large number of diners, and is popular among both locals and tourists. However, during peak hours, the restaurant can become crowded, potentially leading to longer waiting times.

Service at Min Lan has received mixed reviews. While some patrons appreciate the attentiveness of the staff, others have noted that service can be slow during busy periods. Additionally, there have been mentions of language barriers, with some waitstaff having limited English proficiency.

Pricing at Min Lan is considered reasonable, with dishes ranging from 500 kyats for vegetable salads to an average of 12,000 kyats for seafood items. Fresh seafood is sold at market prices, and while some patrons find the prices fair for the quality and freshness of the food, others feel that certain items are overpriced.

In terms of hygiene and sanitation, reviews are varied. Some diners have praised the cleanliness of the open terrace and dining area, while others have raised concerns about sanitation standards, particularly during peak hours when the restaurant is crowded.

Overall, Min Lan Seafood Restaurant is highly regarded for its authentic Rakhine cuisine and fresh seafood offerings. The relaxed atmosphere and diverse menu make it a popular choice for seafood enthusiasts in Yangon. However, potential patrons should be prepared for possible waiting times during busy periods and may want to consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more comfortable dining...

If you are thinking of seafood, Min Lan should not be forgotten. This restaurant is a Rakhine traditional food restaurant and is famous for its cuisine and fresh seafood. It has opened many branches. I had a great experience dining there. Every dish we ordered was delectable. I love Rakhine food. Their Rakhine Monti is fresh, tasty and authentic. It is a fish base soup and that fish is unique. The rice noodles are homemade. If you like to have a salad, you can choose either Rakhine style which is spicy or Burmese style which is normal. Annawa soup which is known as seafood soup is amazing. It's sour and spicy with many sweet fresh seafood. I prefer this soup over roasted annawa dish and I do recommend it. Steamed squid with ink and squid salad are also great. Prawn tempura and seaweed salad is a must. Rakhine prawn curry is delicious too and the curry is based with tamarind and some traditional spice. Mixed vegetable salad is a Rakhine style which is worth trying. If you are willing to observe Rakhine traditional food, this is a guaranteed spot. They have several menus and various seafood. Seafoods are really fresh and clean. When everything is finished, having Hlaw sar (light alcoholic dessert) as a dessert is delightful. It tastes like palm juice or light yogurt. For the price, it is very affordable for its quality. I really recommend it. If you cannot have spicy food, better request to prepare a mild one. Private rooms are also available.

When it is come to Rakhine food, you can't beat this (Min Lan) restaurant. It is not a cheap place to eat but you'll get freshest seafood straight from the coast or from the live-stock. It is usually crowded and noisy place. The two air-conditioned rooms could not host the steady stream of guests. And the location of the restaurant is no where near the bus station so you'll need a private transport to/from this restaurant. Also remember, there's a limited parking space here. The restaurant serves vast Rakhine-styled dishes, which feature less oil in general but very hot and spicy. Even the experienced diners often have tearful eyes and soaking wet clothe from the sweats. The only disappointment here is the orders taking so long and dishes serving in the disorganized order. After all, eat here to support the people of Rakhine (The Arakans), their long stretch of history, and...

Great seafood at affordable prices. This place serves live and fresh seafood, Rakhine style. There's a wide selection on the menu, but the grilled and roasted stuff still taste the best, imho. Saba mackerel was the day's special, and we ordered a huge grilled one. Everyone enjoyed it. Another delicacy was the soft-shelled crabs... spicy fried and quite tasty. The grilled squid was ok, a bit tough but went down well with our cold Myanmar beer. The best dish was the garlic roasted king prawns. We ordered extra! A must try is the simple steamed corn side dish. Good combo with the seafood indeed. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with attentive service. Highly recommended.
