Dry, tasteless and the mince is watery and just bad. Service is by far the worst I have experienced in Namibia. My son did not even eat his kabeljou and dry calamari …and that is his staple no matter where he goes in the world.

I know service is slower in Namibia, but this was by far the worst. The only positive thing I have to say is that it wasn’t racist, even though we were the only non-white people there. EVERYONE WAITED A LONG TIME FOR FOOD.

THE ARROGANT MANAGER SAT ON A LAPTOP IN THE CORNER COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS TO HOW BAD IT WAS.

RE: ARROGANT OWNERS DISHONEST RESPONSE (6 months later) -He seems triggered by the word "racist" that he missed the context, which is concerning. -Jaco lied about standing up for his employees as he never mentioned anything about it to me and was only concerned about not "taking the knock on the food we ordered". Bottom line he got a measly N$800 and we ha to stop somewhere else for lunch. -Owner was not even aware of our server arguing with other employees that day due to operational inefficiencies. -His response is very telling about his view of...

This. Place. 🙌🏼 Five stars isn't even fair! So we went there for some lunch and got the best reception during our three weeks stay in Namibia. The staff were very friendly and kind, and helped us when we wanted to change table in the restaurant. The food was really good. My mother ordered a bacon cheeseburger, my husband a stew and I ordered fish. They checked on us and made sure that we enjoyed our food. It was so damn good that the next day we took a detour just so we could eat breakfast there and even ordered food to go. If you are visiting the coast or wherever in Namibia, you really should take the time and visit Misty Bay ✨

And to the amazing staff: if you are swinging by Sweden, don't forget to say hi 👋🏼

Love...

Returned on 16 Feb 2020 and was impressed once again! We had a great brunch, prices still VERY reasonable. Flies a bit of a problem and outdoor benches could do with a coat of paint or varnish but still really great value for money! I live in Swakopmund and would recommend Misty Bay Cafe to any tourist as a genuine "local Café" with prices locals can afford. Thank you, Misty Bay, for keeping going through the tough Covid times. Believe that better tourism...

Absolutely epic. The perfect place to stop and grab a bite to eat and a hot beverage after a long day on the beach. Hats off to our waitress Jenelope! She was very attentive and super friendly. Their kids play room is also noteworthy. It is by far one of the best that I have seen in a long time. A lot of other much bigger cafes can learn a thing or 3 from this small town Cafe. I am definitely coming back with a smile on my face !!!
