It could have been promising...
We were one of the early customers and were expecting the food to be arriving promptly after we ordered, give it tackle 45 mins. This was not the case.
Other customers who arrived after us got there food, similar to what we had ordered, before we even got any... So we waited, thinking they would be cooking. I checked with one of the waiting staff who said “the food is just in and should be out soon.” We then continued to wait, with no result, so we kindly asked again and still no food. At this point we felt like the waiting staff were lying to us.
10 to 15 minutes after this conversation, one of the starters arrived. We had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes to receive the other, also no staff had given any cutlery so we had to ask out of our way for some; just so we could eat.
As more time passed I was getting nervous, we stared noticing the time and were by this point feeling angry at seeing other orders that were placed after ours fly out!
Eventually my meal arrived. Followed by my friends stake - without the salad he had ordered and without the sauce. Then my other friend received her cold spring rolls that were hard to cut into, very disappointing especially given the wait.
As we were waiting for the sauce and salad, I encouraged my friend to go on eating his stake, we honestly had no faith left in this establishment... The salad and sauce arrived separately after my friend had finished eating, so we sent it back and made clear we wouldn’t be paying for it due to the issues.
Overall, my chicken schnitzel was good and the chips were good as well. I wouldn’t eat there if I was in a hurry or didn’t mind cold food that doesn’t come with its sides as ordered.
We didn’t pay for: the salad, the pepper sauce or the spring rolls. The restaurant were understanding and very apologetic, but unfortunately it made dinner unpleasant.
I really hoped it would have been good, it might be on other occasions but for this...

Coming from a city with a strong coffee culture, I found the coffee options impressive and the staff incredibly friendly.
I would recommend you go to Dias coffee if you are in Lüderitz, going elsewhere for coffee is a waste of your time.
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and know their coffee. There were atleast 5 options for different blends or single origin coffees, which is significantly more than most...
Read moreWe had a super nice dinner with really good fish and calamari and a very tasty mud pudding for dessert. The kids loved the place so much, that went there again the next morning for breakfast (rather a brunch after a catamaran tour in the morning). It was the most friendly service we had in the past three weeks. The staff was amazing. Thank you. Best coffee also. The location itself is bistro style, which was perfect for us. Really good value and the fish was fresh and...
