Great spot when sunny, wondered why it was so quiet. Soon found out after getting yelled at by the wait staff for taking an empty table that hadn't been reserved. We apologised, 4 of us then put on a two person table (despite plenty of free spots around) and told not to sit to close to the neighboring empty table as it will cost them money (?). Continued to be grumbled at the whole time we were there by a certain staffm, left apologizing prefusely as we tried to order as it felt we were in the wrong. Overcharged at the end with various additional charges that weren't on the menu and the food delivered was not actually what we ordered. We were happy to get out of there- felt like a parody of what people call dutch service, but in reality it was just plain rude. If your in the area and the windmill spot across the road is full, avoid coming here as an alternative, there are plenty of equally good locations around that won't leave you feeling guilty for...
Read moreReally bad experience. When we came in, the waitress greeted us in a strange, rude manner. Then showed a place to sit next to a table with other people and close to the exit while the cafe was completely empty (it was 4-5 pm).
She disappeared for a minute and we then proceeded to a better place, asking bartender if we can take it instead. The lady came back, pointing fingers in front of my face, saying "No, that is your place. Sit". We said that we asked bartender, to which she replied "I am the boss here! There will be more people coming later", pointing out that better seats are left for those people. There was no "Reserved" plate, neither any crowd eager to occupy the cafe.
We immediately left of course, hearing some sarcastic remarks behind. This didn't spoil our mood, we just laughed at this...
