San Lok — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I want to preface it by stating that I very rarely write any reviews period. But the wonderful dining experience at the restaurant gives me no choice but to write one.

I have found this place by luck over a mobile app while staying in Amsterdam and I was in for a very pleasant surprise. I've eaten over several thousand Chinese Food over the course of my 20+ years of life, and this was probably the best I have ever eaten in all the places I've visited.

Starting with the place, the interior design and the atmospheric music follows the current trends of simple and stylistic ideas. The server, was very friendly, the presentation of the food was awesome and the food themselves, were truly authentic. We have picked the three course menu for three of us which served us a choice of soup, a plate of dim sum, a main dish and a tea. The ingredients used in the food were fresh and you would totally appreciate the overall dining experience. Lastly, the cost of the food were very reasonable if you consider the excellent service the restaurant provides. It feels as if the cost of them should be higher than what they are asking you.

Lastly, I would like to end the review by stating this. The restaurant needs to be noticed in the Amsterdam region as one of the best and more travelers and residents should visit this place and experience the quality Chinese...

Please read this revue. I have been here earlier in this year about 4 months ago and had a great meal with friends and I thought the service was very good.

This evening, I wanted to check opening times and found the restaurant open but I saw one bad review, so I needed to check the restaurant out again.

When my friend and I arrived, we were greeted friendly and with good humour, by Stephen and shown to a table of our choice. The restaurant was reasonably busy.

The menu has a good choice of meals. At first I glanced through and made a quick choice. My friend was slower, so I looked closer, there are great options when you take your time.

Stephen, the waiter, very polite, great customer service (speaks excelent english) was very helpful and provided really good recommendations.

The food we chose was both vibrant in colour, looked amazing and tasted realy good.

I had beef shetzain ( my spelling is poor) my friend had a vegetarian option

I honestly could not fault the food, it was really good, looked to good to eat.

Stephen, who waited on the table, excelent customer service and attention.

I would certainly come back again and will recommend my friends to give this...

I wanted to have Asian foods while staying in Amsterdam and this restaurant is close to the hotel where we stayed in. Glad to have decided to come here, the waitress was really nice and friendly, foods portions were very generous, and thanks to the waitress who recommended the foods - we both enjoyed the foods very much! Will return when we come back to Amsterdam...
