The service/staff at Bina was accurately described by our kids (10 & 7 years old)—“delicate, careful, precise and focused”. That intentional approach made for an awesome experience start to finish.
We were staying at the resort and on a lark were able to get a 6pm table without a reservation—I imagine likely not always doable as the restaurant was pretty much full by 730.
Staff were super knowledgeable about everything we ate and were accommodating for the kids (pasta with shrimp made upon request, small tastings with ours and delicious ice cream and sorbet for desert).
Our 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing was well thought out, unique, carefully prepared and delicious. The added small tastings around the courses made it even more enjoyable. Fresh Tuna entree was a standout favorite. Cost was reasonable considering the amount of food and wine served.
While our meal ultimately lasted a leisurely 4 hours—which we were happy to have considering the more than ample portions of food and wine—the 5 course meal would not likely be a great option for families with kids (ours fortunately were happily entertained by building things and playing on the nearby beach ). I imagine the meal would be more expeditious if one were to order off the à la carte menu and if restaurant weren’t also simultaneously serving a large party of 20 people–impressive unto itself.
Come for the sunset, stay for the delicious food and impeccable service. Highly...

Read moreMy husband and I dined here on our first night at Chogogo resort. Indeed the ambience and the service are excellent but we both thought that there's room for improvement in relation to the menu. We had the 4 courses chef's menu which started with a nice amuse and a house made ravioli with a very tasty mushroom sauce, continued with a fresh tuna dish and ended with a dessert we both questioned. It appeared to be triggering a 'love it or hate' reaction to customers which was ok for us because this level of cuisine includes experimentation. What wasn't ok was that although we were asked for food allergies or ingredients we don't like, one of the two items my husband requested to not be on his plate, was included in quantity on our main course. That in combination with the dessert spoiled the...
