Döner Station Hato — Restaurant in Bonaire

Close to the Mini resort where we stayed, a small shopping center is created. There you can also find this Donner station, next to Luciano’s ice cream bar.

When you get there, our first impression was.. wow! Where am I ending up here! But we ended up having a very nice surprise. It’s an open store with a terrace in front. It is quit warm there so we decided to order our meal to go and took a seat a bit further across the store. After a while quite some locals arrived and the terrace was full before we knew it.

As we wanted to get a desert from Luciano’s as well we stayed close by and enjoyed our Donner wrap. The taste is very good and you see and taste that all is prepared fresh and with care. Taste was so good that we went back a few days later. Next stop!...

My first visit at Döner Station. Who want have Döner in the caribean? Me of course... :-) There are a lot of local people buying their food there, including divestaff and policeofficer. For me a good sign to test my first caribean Döner. We orderd a Döner Kebab with garlic sauce and Wrap with the same sauce. After a couple of minutes the food was ready... Bread and Wrap were good and fresh. The chicken meat was very tasty and also fresh. After a long day of diving the Döner Kebab was not enough for me. Next time i'll order some fries... Price and quality is good and i'll go...

Have eaten here more than once this trip. Donner Bread (large sandwich on Turkish bread) and Donner Box (Fries covered in meat and cucumber salad) are both delicious. Fries were done perfectly, and everything is fresh and hot. An order of Fries was $5, but definitely enough to share! Unless you are really hungry, the Donner Bread sandwich could easily be split, too. We always came home with leftovers. Seating is outside. As someone else mentioned, the best seats in the house are in the breezeway to the left. Highly recommend. Easy walk from Sand...
