Rumba Cafe — Restaurant in Bonaire

My wife and I were downtown and stumbled upon this place quite by accident, we didn’t see any sign outside with the name of the restaurant but we saw what appeared to be a relatively busy café across from the ocean so we popped in. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly woman who took our order and recommended several wonderful dishes. We got the noodles with vegetables and also the red curry with chicken, The red curry ended up being green but for all intents and purposes was still unbelievably savory and wonderful. Great flavor profile ,wonderfully prepared ,fresh ingredients and ice cold beer, with a wonderful atmosphere and easily the most friendly and engaging staff we have found on the entire island.! They also offer pizza later in the evening which looked wonderful although we did not try it. Things were very reasonably priced and there were several nice clean bathrooms upstairs for public use. When you visit Bonaire, you'll want to go to Rumba Cafe! Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner - Monday through Saturday. We think they have the best cappuccino on the island. Great way to start your day - sipping hot coffee with soothing views of the ocean glistening in morning sun. For lunch & dinner, you can have something light like our pizza & salad or one of their specialty entrees. They also have daily specials which includes fresh fish. Rumba café one of the top five places to get pizza on BONAIRE. Downside is the pizza is really oily, so I wouldn’t really call it a healthy option. No matter what pizza you order it’s always going to be more oily than your usual pizza. I don’t know how they could fix that but if they would. I would definitely put them in the top three pizza places in Bonaire.
