We had a bit of a difficult time finding this place the first time we visited, but we’re glad we tried again on our last day!
We went to the dock for lunch before heading to the airport. We were immediately sat and had beautiful views of the water area, and was covered from the sun.
My husband opted for a Mojito. I stayed with sparkling water. I ordered the poke bowl, and ate every bite. It was absolutely delicious and one of my favorite meals on the island. My husband ordered the carpaccio sandwich, and that was just as big and filling. He loved it!
This place really is incredible for its food and drink. The staff are super kind and friendly, and we found service to be just as great.
We love that the intimate space allowed people to enjoy where they’re at whether you’re in a large group or small couple enjoying a meal. There’s also plenty of seating near the dock area in the sun if you want.
It’s very cool that there are opportunities for voters to tie up their boat to come here for lunch . And the restaurant also serves those by the pool who are staying at the resort.
There’s plenty of covered area so you don’t have to worry about getting in the sun if you don’t want. The bathroom is shared down the hall and is easy to find.
The decorations are fun and fit well into the cabana Caribbean field of the island. From the looks of it, we wouldn’t mind staying here on our next trip.
If you’re looking for a great meal before hitting the airport, since they’re really isn’t any place to eat there, we highly recommend the dock! We can’t wait to come back again on...
Read moreA very disappointing evening for what we had hoped would be a special final night on Bonaire. After sitting at our table for AN HOUR w only bread, I asked the server if our meal was coming soon. Apparently our order got lost somewhere between the server and the kitchen. When we were informed of this (“something happened to your order”) I asked if they could bring us SOMETHING while it was being prepared because my son and husband were ravenous after a day of windsurfing, but the server said “no, it’s being cooked right now.” Not great. Didn’t even offer us more bread.
I worked in upscale restaurants for many years so I fully understand that accidents happen, especially on a busy Friday night. But when they happen you have to apologize profusely and either comp the entire meal or a good portion of it. They comped 1 glass of wine and a virgin pina colada. Not adequate for a restaurant with $35 entrees.
The food ranged from fine (ribeye) to excellent (tuna steak). The atmosphere is lovely especially if you get to sit...
Read moreEven though Bonaire is supposed to be a “black” island, there were only white people in this place. The clients and the staff. The minute I walked in for breakfast, a white woman sitting with her husband immediately grabbed her bag as if I was going to steal it. I really don’t understand why these people come to the islands if they are so paranoid about black people. The waitress didn’t know anything, not even about the surroundings. This was her first week, straight out of the Netherlands. Aren’t there any kids from the island who can be hired? I ordered a coffee and a yoghurt bowl. The coffee was ok, the yoghurt bowl definitely not. I left it and asked for the bill. The woman behind the bar was also very distrusting. When I paid with my card and turned around she gestured me to stay until it was clear all was paid. Of course when it came out as I expected she was all nice and smiling...
