Koko's — Restaurant in Curaçao

To start my review I would like to say that this beach bar had all the makings of a great place. It was situated perfectly on the beach away from the crowds but set amongst the palm trees and very tropical. A beautiful setting to say the least. That was where it ended. We sat down and waited over 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. We were 10 feet from the bar! I counted over 8 waitresses, but we were being completely ignored. I watched one, wrap cutlery in napkins. Another I watched empty ice bags into the cooler. The others were talking to each other and serving people drinks on the beach. We thought we had our invisible suits on!! When a waitress did come over she was empty handed and asked what we wanted. We had to ask her for a menu. Again, waited another 10-15 minutes before somebody else came back and asked what we wanted. We decided at that point we would just order drinks. The drinks were 'okay'. The service needs...

I wasn't sure about posting this review cause it just puts the spotlight more on this place ;). But it's what this place deserves. It's well hidden away next to the larger and more commercial restaurants. It's almost a shame they don't serve evening meals b cause I'm pretty sure it would be a great place to dine, too. We had multiple lunches and breakfasts during our stay in Jan Thiel. One small recommendation: during our last breakfast, there was a lot of staff hanging around the bar area. Most of them seemed to be busier with each other's and their weekend plans than they were with the guests. I would pay some attention to this...

🌴 A true gem on Curaçao! 🌞

We had such a great time at Koko’s! The cocktails were all delicious 🍹, and the Piña Colada was absolutely perfect not something you find everywhere, so we were thrilled about that. Big compliments to the bar team! 👏

The view from the sunbeds was simply stunning: turquoise waters, swaying palm trees, and vibrant marine life. With just a short snorkel session – only 2 meters from the shore – we spotted colorful fish, little crabs, and even some curious pidikans 🐠🦀. Absolutely magical!
