While we spent a few years refitting our boat, La Granja became our go to spot for lunch several times a week - and for good reason! The quality and flavor of the food have always been consistent, and for the price, it’s unbeatable. Their sauces are absolutely delicious and keep us coming back. It’s also nice to eat inside in the air conditioning during the heat of the day. After being away from the island for 26 months, the staff still remembered us and welcomed us back with such genuine warmth - it truly meant a lot to us. The recent remodel looks fantastic, giving the place an even more inviting feel, and comfortable chairs. This has always been one of our favorite local spots, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere.

The food is consistently delicious and always hot and fresh. We love the rotisserie chicken and we get it with rice and fries. They have 4 different varieties of sauces that are so tasty. Our favorite combination is the hot sauce and the garlic mayo. Their fried plantains (bananas) are so sweet and we order them every time they have them. We feel La Granja is the best value for our money and we happily dine here as often as we can!

We took a chance to have lunch here and it was the right choice. Although there was a long line, it went by fast. The menu was good to read and follow and staff were helpfull. Due to inside being crowded, we opted for eating outside on the terras. Luckily it was a bit cool outside. We ordered 1/2 roasted chicken with yellow rice & garlic potatoes and fish with shrimp in hot sauce, steamed brocolli & yellow rice. The portions were the right size and very delicious, juicy and crunchy. Also really liked the spice level so we asked for extra spicy sauce.

Very Disappointing and Potentially Unsafe Experience

We ordered food from La Granja last Sunday for a group of six people. Unfortunately, not long after eating, every single one of us started having stomach issues and needed to use the bathroom repeatedly. What was supposed to be a nice meal turned into a very uncomfortable and concerning experience.

It’s now two days later, and two of us are still unwell — most likely dealing with some sort of intestinal infection. This is not only disappointing but also dangerous. Food safety should be a top priority, and based on our experience, it clearly wasn’t.

We won’t be ordering from here again and strongly urge others to think twice before doing so. We hope the management takes this seriously and investigates the issue to ensure it doesn’t happen to...
