Bogor Permai Indonesisch Afhaalcentrum — Restaurant in Diemen

The owners (dad and daughter duo) here are beyond nice. This was the first place we ate at upon arrival after a 16+ hour flight. It was across the street from where we were staying so we came straight here since we were starving. We didn't have any euros, just credit cards, since we had just landed. We thought it would be fine since they had a card reader, but after they prepared our food, we realized that they only accepted debit cards. The owner (daughter) was so kind, and offered for us to just enjoy the meal now while it's hot, and insisted that we just come back and pay next time. In the end, it took us two days to return with euros and this time, we interacted with the dad. We explained to him the kindness of his daughter, and told him that we were here to pay our debts, while purchasing a few more items. He proceeded to throw in a few things for free so that we could try them. The hospitality that we experienced is unmatched. I wish I lived here so I could come and support this amazing local business and sweet family routinely. If that's not enough for you to drop by, the food alone will be enough to draw you in - everything is delicious and fairly priced. Bogor Permai is a small take away hidden gem in Diemen. Their dishes are really tasty and rich in flavor. It is not really well known, probably because of the location isn't in Amsterdam Central for example. But their foods are great and portion is decent. Do expect a lot of queue when you go there, quite busy especially in the rush hours. If there was a place that I think of whenever we want Indonesian cooked food, this is it. I used to work in an Indonesian restaurant so I've had the chance to try my share and this place is the best! Walk in, get everything from the counter, cooked and warmed up in a take away container and be on your way home within 7 min to enjoy your dinner.
