Sage has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Enschede! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The staff here are absolutely wonderful — always friendly, attentive, and never pushy about anything. They even help with things like taking your jacket and finding the perfect spot to sit — such thoughtful touches that make a big difference.
The food is incredible! I’m personally addicted to their chili-flavored edamame — it’s the perfect mix of spice and flavor. I recently tried their tacos, and wow… I didn’t know I could become a “taco girl,” but here we are! So crunchy, packed with home-style flavors — just perfect.
Their ramen, gyoza, and other dishes are just as impressive. I don’t eat fish myself, but my friends did, and they couldn’t stop raving about it — so I’ll speak for the whole group and say: everything was on point.
The place is also super clean, with great attention to detail and a cozy, relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Whether you’re going for a full dinner or just small bites, Sage truly delivers on flavor, service,...
Read moreWe got Wagyu beef skewer, which was really tasty, korean fried chicken which again was good, and a bowl of pork Ramen that was not so great, i ate much better ramen’s for a cheaper price. we arrived at the restaurant at 17:26 and since i wanted Ramen i had to ask for an extra menu that they didn’t offer. I ordered the Ramen around 17:50 and the manager (or shift responsible probably) told me that i am lucky because in 10 minutes i couldn’t have ordered anymore. Ok? You could’ve let me know? My girlfriend asked the waitress for a Poke bowl and she had to ask her “boss” what time lunch finishes, i mean? was her first day or what? :)) at the end, i couldn’t finish my whole Ramen so i left a little left on the plate, the so called manager comes to clean the table and he asked me “you didn’t like it?” and i answered politely “yes, was alright, i’m just too full” and very rudely he replies with “you can say it”. Got out of there as quickly as i could. Shame that the food is pretty good, but the service is honestly not something i wish i...
Read moreIt’s actually one of my favourite restaurants I. Enschede now. The taste hits the spot. Typically when there’s a Dutch ‘asian’ restaurant most of the items on the menu are no longer authentic as most of the food items have been adjusted and localised to the Dutch community.
However Sage manage to keep that authenticity when it comes to the taste and flavour. The meat and seafood are top notch! It is a bit on the pricier side but if you enjoy premium food with premium ingredients then that’s the price you’ll pay. They do not serve low end ingredients. And for that the price corresponds well. One thing that could be improved is the payment system. I find it a little bit ridiculous that they only accepted maestro. No visa or MasterCard. Not all visa and Mastercards are credit cards!
