Eetcafe Het Hert is housed in a XVII century building and is an official national monument on Cattenhage Street. This is a street in Naarden, which is located within the municipal borders of Naarden and the borders of the province of Noord-Holland. This cozy cafe in a beautiful monumental building is the oldest catering establishment in Naarden Vesting. Here you can enjoy a meal under the rays of the sun on the terrace located in the courtyard (it has a sunny position and can be almost completely opened in summer), making it unique and the only such terrace near the fortress. This is a beautiful, cozy brown cafe with continental cuisine, where you can always have a delicious meal and relax after walking around this picturesque town. In addition to the original food area, there is very fast service and good staff. I really liked the tuna tartare appetizer, with teriyaki sauce, sesame and wakame foam🤤😋👌 It was something incredible! Such a good wine list here, more than 400 wines. The service was decent.

Good selection of beers, including non-alcoholic options, and excellent food. The Niçoise salad was superb, with the tuna perfectly cooked. The sweet potato fries were also great. The burger was excellent. We ordered flatbread for our daughter—she didn’t really appreciate it (not the most child-friendly dish), but we liked it.

We weren’t too impressed with the regular fries—they were a bit dry. And the food took quite a while to arrive (though understandable, as there were seven of us).

Wij waren er afgelopen zaterdag met zijn vieren. We bestelden 3 x saté en 1x zalm. Het eten werd geserveerd 1stok saté een paar stukjes kroepoek en een heel klein beetje groenten(als je dat zo kan noemen) de zalm was zeer klein en ook een heel klein beetje groenten ( en dat voor 25 euro!! We kregen een klein schaaltje friet erbij. Wij bestelde gelijk meer friet, want het was wel heel weinig voor 4 personen. Ik had gelezen op het menu dat bij het eten per persoon friet erbij zou zitten en extra friet 4.25 zou kosten. Wij begrepen er niks van dat er niet meer friet bij zat. We waren al bijna klaar met ons eten toen we eindelijk na 2 x vragen de friet kregen. Ik vroeg aan de serveerster dit hoort toch neem ik aan bij het eten en dat we geen 4.25 ervoor moeten gaan betalen? Ja zei de serveerster het kost 4.25 extra. Wij waren verbijsterd!! We hadden gelijk geen zin meer in een dessert, het personeel deed gelijk raar. Ik ging betalen en gaf natuurlijk geen tip, want we vonden het belachelijk dat we zo weinig eten hadden gehad en dat je friet extra moet betalen. En wat gebeurt, op de bon hoefden we geen extra friet te betalen. Wat nou het domste is van jullie! Als jullie iemand naar onze tafel had gestuurd, dan hadden jullie nog 40 euro en tip kunnen verdienen, want dan hadden we alle 4 een toetje genomen. Hoop dat jullie hiervan leren.
