Rose Garden — Restaurant in Gouda

We got takeout on Sunday, when we arrived it was a 30 min line from outside to inside for pick up. Once we got home with the food we noticed that in the order 50% will be what you ordered and the other 50% will be wet, broken, inedible chips or mushy bean sprouts. It was disappointing to pay so much and see 50% of the order missing as they hide this beneath whatever you ordered. Food was good but we noticed a lot of it was cooked odd. For example our Cha Sieuw and Pekening Duck was both cooked perfect but plenty of pieces were totally overcooked and dry as a bone. Very odd experience and wouldnt recommend as paying almost 20+ euros for a cup of meat and a lot of noodles or rice isnt...

After 30 minutes and reminding them twice about the fact that I was waiting I got my food. The excuse was: The order was "waiting' for the baked bananas. The food was really not warm any more. Only the baked bananas where hot on the outside, but inside still cold and raw. So the whipped that up to quickly. I warmed the rest of the food in the microwave. My wife liked the noodles so...

This restaurant/ take away was always our place to go. Sadly, we found our last take away meal was very disappointing and rather expensive for the quality of food we received. The large springrolls (one veg and one chicken breast) was the worst we ever had. The Babi Pangan had quality meat, but the sauce was un-recognizable and way too sweet.
