Barista Cafe — Restaurant in Groningen

Today was our last attempt to let them prove themselves. That didn't go well. Just like the last two times we've visited, not everything was in stock, so choices were limited. The time before today they served us a meal without all the ingredients, because they didn't had everything. That was a boring sandwich. After complaining we've received a couple of stamps on a card for a small coffee. That coffee was okay, but not Batista worthy. It was medium warm as well. Waited 30 minutes for a cold brie melt which was not properly made to begin with and a wrap with so little spread and loosely wrapped that it fell apart (about 2 of six pieces had filling). Then when complaining about the melt it took another 30 minutes before I lost my patience and decided to just pay without eating. Note in this that they had two girls dedicated in the kitchen and about 30 patrons of which half wanted food.

The coffee here is absolutely amazing, full of rich flavor and great quality. The cakes are my favorite, especially the carrot cake with caramel syrup, you can really taste that it’s homemade. For lunch, I highly recommend the pulled chicken and avocado wrap, served with crème fraîche and fresh tomatoes and salads on the side. The staff are amazing and make the experience even better. A perfect spot for both a sweet treat and a delicious meal!
