FINALLY. Normally I have to make the journey to Overveen or downtown Haarlem for my caffeine needs. With the closure of French Napa I was needing a coffee spot close to home. As an Australian and long time coffee nerd / barista I need a flat white spot within throwing distance. And behold Gast! Since finding the cafe on a dog walk I have been there everyday for coffee and have now started delving into the lunch menu. Pulled chicken and sambal toastie being my favourite as it is delicious.    Read moreThis is literally the perfect small neighbourhood café! Very good quality coffee and a great menu variety. If you visit in the morning the entire café smells like the best freshly baked croissants.
I love the entire warm inviting atmosphere here. In the morning it's also the perfect quiet place to read a book or do some work.
The peanut butter-bowl here is my favorite! It's with amazing creamy yogurt, some sweetness from the banana and honey and crunchy flavorfull granola.
It's a hidden gem locate right outside the city centre of Haarlem. Definitely worth a visit...
