We went in today with a fussy 2-year-old at an off time (around 2) who needed to sit and drink something and he would have cheered up. There were no tables big enough for 4 outside so we went inside which was almost entirely empty. As we were sitting down to a table, the waiter quickly went by and said "shut up!" Very loudly, obviously aimed at our toddler, and pushed an old lady's walker on his way back outside. Our business obviously wasn't wanted so we left without ordering. I went here to get some lunch and do some work. My first experience was not to so friendly staff, I felt judged and unwelcome. The food was lovely and I thought all was well until, One of the staff approached me and said it would be closing in 5 minutes. This was at 5pm and the shop said it closes at 6pm to make that worse I look up and there is a table with fresh beers and coffee to say I felt insulted was an understatement. I had the lunch plank, tomato soup and mexican wrap. Tomato soup was the best - the bread was soooooo soft it was I think one of the best bread I've tasted in weeks 🔥 Service was slow because it was a packed rainy Saturday and we had to wait for over 15 minutes to be attended and almost an hour to get our food.
