Hu Bin — Restaurant in Harderwijk

Firstly the menu is not correct they don’t offer all you can eat or a buffet the staff said it’s not there website yet it’s for here and you can order delivery etc from it FALSE ADVERTISING stuff you can’t actually get. Staff could barely speak English or Dutch we had to write our own order down to give to staff and apparently they have no taps in the building so can not provide TAP WATER. To drink but are happy to charge for bottles of water the beer is small glasses so take into account when ordering The menu you are given doesn’t offer any options for certain meals until you order are then given the choice a simple dishes come with choice, but upon the bill arriving found out the choice or rice or noodles I was offered with my meal actually ost me separate for the price of the meal, it was made out it came with the meal I’ll admit the food was very nice only worry it seemed to arrive at the table less than 5mins after ordering it no way could it be cooked fresh that quick and I’m taking 5 meals. Although the restaurant was quite large when we arrived there was only two people dining at a time when people would eat dinner an example is other restaurants close by looking quite full. When the server arrived and we tried to order drinks (tap water not available) the server came back with three waters when we asked for 2 beer 3cokes 2waters then they walked away and came back 7ish minutes later to server another table (the only other table) that just arrived. When they did eventually take our order it had to be written on a napkin. Strangely our food came within 5 minutes of ordering, although food was good. The atmosphere felt a bit "touristy". The street view also kind of reflects that being so close to the dolfinarium. I expected a darker, quieter atmosphere. Less "dutch" maybe. I don't mean any offense in that. I think the place is close to what i imagined it could be. But misses a little bit of background music maybe? Just those tiny soft atmospheric touches.

Maybe I'm just dreamy. It was a good experience that I wish was just that little bit better in being what it is.

Very friendly employees. The food was excellent. Expensive too. But the at-table service...
