Café 't Noorderke & Restaurant Noorderpoort — Restaurant in Harlingen

The last dinner with my father before his time comes, it used to be his parents place, many memories of his were shared with me, his daughter. While we went back in time, in the present, we were served with such kindness, with such patience and grace by all staff. The food was wonderful, in fact due to my father's morphine he normally doesn't eat much but I've rarely seen him eat this well and enjoy himself this much. So for all at café het Noorderke.. Thank you deeply, for giving us such a beautiful and special last time.

A traditional bar where I stopped for a few gins, a few plates of the local green soup. Friendly staff, interesting locals who (after a few) like to chat and are very happy to tell you the history of the area. It is well located near the long stay parking and the ferry to the islands (which was my reason for stopping by). A classy place to spend a few days I would have thought....

We wanted to drink a coffee here, but the waitress lady was really rude to us. We sat down and she just threw the menu in front of us, like we were some kind of animals. Its deeply disrespectful torwards the guests. I never had any experience like this before in my life, so we just stood up and left without drinking or eating anything. I would not recommend this...
