Ristorante Pizzeria Il Castello — Restaurant in Heerlen

We had arrived about ten minutes before opening time but they welcomed us in anyway. Unfortunately, we were told immediately that their pizza baker was absent so pizza was off the menu that evening. Disappointed, we nevertheless chose to make the best of it and ordered some other items off the menu, one of which was the oxtail steak. Everything, from the appetisers to the tiramisu dessert were so well prepared and tasted very much like the food we ate when we were in Italy as opposed to the saturated diluted fare we usually get. The prices were steep but they matched the quality of the food and the ambiance of the place. The staff were all friendly, efficient and warm and it was a real additional bonus to our patronage. We'll be looking forward to our next visit there and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone searching for good Italian food and/or a pleasant...

One of the best Italian restaurants in this region. The place has a very good Ambience. Hospitality is great with some wonderful staff. Location is very close the city center of Heerlen. A challenge is the parking spots near the restaurant in weekends if you want to park on the street, you have a parking complex nearby. We have been here several times and every time the food is amazing as always. Being a vegetarian, I find lot of options in Pizza and Pasta. You have try the wood fire Pizza here. Do not forget to end the dinner with an Amazing and Authentic Tiramisu as a desert, you will remember it...

Went for a family birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago. Service by the waiter (jasper I think?) was SCANDALOUS! DISRESPECTFUL! Honestly I was so speechless that I had to ask if he even was Italian (which he obviously wasn’t but of course for entertainment kept saying “SI SI SI”). And if you’re POC, please don’t go! I could tell there was a difference...
