One of the best museum experiences I've ever had. They give you an audio tour(available in English, German, and Dutch, maybe other languages too) which you use to scan tags that are scattered around the building. When you do that, a lot of the exhibits come alive via 3D mapping and other cool tech. The Roman bath itself has a bridge going over it and as you go through, the audio guide highlights different areas of the bathhouse, with the projector showing you how they would have looked in real time. Read moreThis museum has is located in the centre of the town and has on display on of the largest Roman bath complexes I have ever seen. There is a raised walkway or bridge inside which allows you to look down on the remains of the different bathing rooms. At the end of the walkway is a room displaying various artifacts discovered by the archaeologists in the local area, including a large stone sarcophagus with amazing interior carvings.
Downstairs is a display room contrasting modern and ancient cultures. There is also an educational area worth exploring, if you have children or s curious mind.
