Lab26 Aperitivo Club — Restaurant in Hengelo

We regularly order the pizzas, and I must say they are the best in Hengelo! But going to the restaurant is not worth it at all, when we arrived there was no one to welcome us, even if we booked the table it was still dirty, they didn't bring us a menu card assuming that we would look at it on the internet, the menu card on the internet is not correct and clear so we had to change our order, the food arrived and they forgot to give us forks and knives, the caprese salad was tasteless, just hard, watery and unseasoned slices of tomatoes with a ball of mozzarella for 12,50€. We decided to try the pasta, it was obviously not fresh, small quantity but the sauce was good (15€) and the tiramisu had a very thick layer of biscuit and almost no cream (9€). The decoration of the place is also very weird, very cheap and simple and all the furnitures are for sale. We will keep ordering the pizzas on Thuisbezorgd because they're good but the restaurant...

I was here with my friends and ordered a 4 course menu for the experience with a couple of wine bottles. The service was very quick and very friendly. They have a decent collection of drinks and they even helped in choosing one. We started with the sharing plank and the stone baked bread and they are absolutely fantastic. Then we moved to starters, and mains with two types of pasta and two different half pizzas. I loved the pasta, the ingredients are super fresh and you can literally feel the tastes. The pizza was nice but I didn't like much, probably because I'm not a big fan of veg pizza..have to try their pizza piccante next time to have better view on the pizza. And, we ended with tiramasu and crumble with berries ...it's a really a good idea to end with tiramasu for the best experience. Overall, it's a really good experience and my friends also loved it and I will be back again...

First of all: we waited for 1 h for 3 pizzas and 1 pasta at 5 pm as the very first customers -with reservation-. The food is okay, nothing special but tastes nice. We like the pizzas but the pasta was mediocre: not handmade and nothing special. Also, it would be better to serve the pizzas either on a wooden plate or a pre-heated plate, as they get cold easily. The pasta was also luke warm but it is okay. The atmosphere and staff are also okay. But I expected more since it has 4.5 stars in reviews. The decorations are a bit confusing as everything seems to be on sale?! Also the ceiling looks messy and not neat. The menu is only on internet. This is okay for fast food restaurants but not for real restaurants, I would say. The price is on the high end for this type of restaurant, I would say. Overall, 3 but I can visit more when I am in Hengelo as there isn't many...
