De Appel — Restaurant in Hengelo

I found out about De Appel due to the Albert Heijn actie. Most restaurants had a special menu with fewer options laid out but NOT at De Appel, here we got the normal menu. The quality of the food was outstanding: not only was it presented well but it tasted really good! I recommend the Geitenkaas Tompouce starter because that dish just blew my mind away. All the desserts seemed to be really Dutch stuff but boy oh boy do they pimp up that basic pakcake!! I would recommend the Flensjes with caramelised pear and ice cream! Coffee is really bad even for average restraurant coffee standards. The burgers were fine the previous time but they got worse in time.
