Let me introduce: The absolute best ramen bowl I’ve ever had 🍜 📍 Genshi ramen restaurant Hilversum Was craving authentic Japanese food and thought about testing a new place in Hilversum. This was a small and cozy place with nice interior and super friendly staff. We both ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, since it was the most popular dish of the menu. I can’t even begin to describe the flavours. Complete EXPLOSION in my mouth. The broth had an incredible and strong garlic flavour, noodles cooked to perfection, pork belly was juicy and all diverse vegetables delicious. Never in my entire life have I experienced such an AMAZING ramen bowl. Fantastic comfort food and I could have eaten 5 of them (not really, one portion is big enough). One bowl is 18,50€, a bit pricy if you ask me but 100% worth it. Wow factor is high 💯💯💯 pleasantly surprised and we LOVE that 🥹😍

My new favorite Ramen spot. The ramen were rich and full of flavour. It was also warming to see the chef delicately put the finishing touches on the dishes. We had the Tonkatsu Black Garlic and a spicy creamy one (I lost the name on the menu it’s directly below the Black Garlic). The black garlic’s smokiness together with the char su’s light browning gave it a rich full flavour. I love a good creamy ramen and the second one was just that. The minced pork made sure you had a little protein with every bite. I paired it with their home made calpis to balance the spice level, which to me was perfect. A little kick but not overpowering at all. All in all, great food, great service, nice people. I highly recommend it. (Will try to remember to update with the name of the second dish when I walk by next time)

Honestly quite impressed! Ramen was full of flavour and looked absolutely delicious. So good in fact, that I forgot to take a picture before starting eating, only remembered halfway through the bowl. Great comfort food, it really gave us the satisfaction we were looking for, even if it was absolutely hot outside. Service was quick, but we were the only ones for a while, so you'll have to try it for yourselves if it's fuller. We were happy with everything! The decor is nothing out of this world, but we were also not expecting anything else. It was nice and cool, so it helped us nicely coming from 31 degrees. We'll come back!

Honestly quite impressed! Ramen was full of flavour and looked absolutely delicious. So good in fact, that I forgot to take a picture before starting eating, only remembered halfway through the bowl. Great comfort food, it really gave us the satisfaction we were looking for, even if it was absolutely hot outside. Service was quick, but we were the only ones for a while, so you'll have to try it for yourselves if it's fuller. We were happy with everything! The decor is nothing out of this world, but we were also not expecting anything else. It was nice and cool, so it helped us nicely coming from 31 degrees. We'll come back!
