In the McDonalds app, you have deals, this week I wanted to eat a Big Mac for 4,60 Euro. I drove to the Mc Drive, scanned my code and then, when someone was avaible I told her that I wanted to Big Mac. At the desk she asked the normal price, I told her that I scanned the QR code for a Big Mac for 4,60. She told me that the code was cancelled, because it was connected to another order for another customer, who did not order a Big Mac. She told me that because she needed to cancel my discount, that my QR code cannot be used anymore. She told me :

Don't you see on the display, that I am busy with another customer !

I thought, I just want to order 1 big mac, I just scan my QR code asap, because I know that those scan portals can be difficult with my phone.

I felt really bad that she blamed me, for scanning too fast.

I got this Big Mac for free, but the rest of the evening, I just had a bad feeling with this experience.....

McDrive was een bijzondere ervaring. Besteld, betaald en toen ik wachtte op mijn bestelling kwam er na enige tijd een medewerker naar mij toe. Waarop en waarom ik daar nog steeds stond te wachten. Uitgelegd dat ik mijn bestelling nog niet geleverd had gekregen.

Al snel volgde een beschuldigende toon. Ik moest maar aantonen dat ik besteld en betaald had, anders kon hij niets voor mij doen. Omdat ik geen pinbon had aangenomen heb ik hem mijn rekeningafschrift getoond. In plaats van dat hij verifieerde bij een collega waar ik net betaald had, kwam hij meermaals vragen wat ik dan besteld had en bij welke zuil.

Na een kwartier ontving ik alsnog mijn bestelling met de excuses dat het zo lang duurde. Beter had de jongen zijn excuses kunnen aanbieden voor het ontbreken van manieren en het toegeven van zijn eigen fout.

De toon die de jongen aansloeg was zo verre van klantvriendelijk, dat ik me sterk afvraag of zo iemand in contact moet treden met klanten. Afgezien dat mijn persoonlijke mening is dat de jongen vrij incapabel lijkt voor de functie.
