Grieks Restaurant Xanthi — Restaurant in Krimpen aan den IJssel

I clearly do not understand at all the previous comments. Clearly, even the pictures do not look like what we got. I am not used to writing comments about restaurant, but I felt clearly robbed, and I dared to tell to the waitress (who was very nice though). The menu is HUGE, which was already a bad indicator of the quality of food. We ordered, and our plates arrived very fast, in less than 15 minutes. My girlfriend ordered a moussaka and I ordered a gyros with a greek salad. The moussaka was very industrial, still frozen inside and completely tasteless. Clearly the worst moussaka we had in our life, and worse than moussaka we had in a school canteen. Regarding my gyros, the meat was very hard, tasteless, the feta was clearly not made out of sheep/goat milk, and even the "olive" oil was tasteless. We paid 45 euros for two (two drinks, two meals and one starter), and after we complained, the waitress gave us two shots of liquor, maybe to forget what we tried to eat? Xanthi is gelegen in Krimpen aan den IJssel ten oosten van Rotterdam. Vlakbij de stad, maar met dorpse begrippen.

Het restaurant is niet al te groot, maar wel genoeg ruimte. Wel Rotterdamse inslag. Op één of andere manier galmt het wel enorm in dit restaurant waardoor het erg luid is binnen en je de muziek gewoon niet hoort. Het publiek zijn veel locals die erg hard praten. Als je later gaat (na 18:30) is het minder druk wat prettiger is.

Kleine keuken met fantastische Griekse gerechten. Echt alles is het bestellen waard.....complimenten!

Rustige bediening wat erg prettig is. Als het restaurant vol is, kan je wel erg lang wachten op je voorgerecht. Wij houden van tafelen en vinden dat niet zo erg, maar houdt er rekening mee.

Verder is het ons goed bevallen en het eten is voortreffelijk! Geen sfeer, wel lekker...
