EN: I’m writing this in two languages because many international visitors come to the museum and will likely end up at Museumzicht. The location is beautiful, situated near the museum with a playground. It’s a café, but also a pancake house. So, it’s a place where many people come with children, which might be useful to keep in mind in terms of timing and during school holidays or weekends. There is plenty of parking, as there is a sports park and the museum just around the corner. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon in October, so there were no children, and it was very quiet. There were only two other tables occupied. We were served fairly quickly, and the food arrived promptly. We chose the so-called “12 o’clock special.” This includes an “uitsmijter” (two eggs on bread with ham and cheese), a croquette on bread (we chose the cheese croquette), a salad, and a small bowl of soup of your choice. You could choose from various soups. We had the creamy mushroom soup, which was very tasty, with good-sized pieces of mushroom in it. The eggs were well-cooked, and the cheese croquette wasn’t too hot, which is always nice when eating without burning your mouth. The salad was surprisingly delicious, especially the dill(?) dressing was very tasty. The prices were reasonable, and the restaurant looked neat and well-kept. We will definitely enjoy lunch here more often, that’s for sure.
NL: Ik ga dit in twee talen schrijven omdat er veel internationale bezoekers komen naar het museum en vast wel terechtkomen bij Museumzicht. De locatie is erg mooi, gelegen bij het museum met een speeltuin. Dit is een eetcafé, maar ook een pannenkoekenhuis. Dat is dus een plek waar men veel met kinderen komt, wellicht handig om rekening mee te houden qua tijdstip en momenten van schoolvakanties of weekenden. Er is genoeg parkeergelegenheid, omdat er een sportpark en het museum om de hoek ligt. Wij kwamen er op een dinsdagmiddag in oktober, dus geen kinderen en het was erg rustig. Er waren nog twee andere tafels bezet. We werden redelijk snel geholpen en het eten arriveerde vrij snel. Wij kozen voor het zog. 12-uurtje. Dat is een uitsmijter (twee eieren op brood met ham en kaas), een kroket op brood (wij kozen voor de kaaskroket) een salade en een klein kommetje soep naar keus. Je kon kiezen uit verschillende soepen. Wij hadden de gebonden champignonsoep die erg lekker was, met goede stukken champignon erin. De eieren waren goed en de kaaskroket was niet te heet, ook altijd fijn om zonder blaren zo'n ding te eten. De salade was verrassend lekker, vooral de dille(?) dressing was erg lekker. I'm going to have to give 1 star as we were a group of 9 and 5 dishes came out at the same time and 4 of us sat with nothing. Two of us eventually got food 10 mins after everyone else had finished. Then we were still waiting on the final two dishes and the very rude waitress tried to claim we told her to cancel the last two dishes. Then 2 dishes finally turned up 45 minutes late and one of them was the wrong dish. The waitress was extremely aggressive and rude. This was the most shockingly bad service I've ever experienced anywhere I've been in the world.
To top it all off the manager came out and instead of apologising for the mix up and horrendous service he told us to never come back!!! When THEY were in the wrong, not us!!! We were absolutely appalled at this unbelievable attitude.
Also, there were three parrots that had no toys or any kind of enrichment at all. So cruel. Buy them...

Went here for lunch (kids wanted pancakes) and back for coffee after visiting the war museum.
The interior is dominated by clocks and not all of them seem operational so telling time is a little hard (but that may be on purpose).
Staff was friendly and quick to bring out our drinks. When a mistake was made with my food order this was quickly resolved without any debate (I know of more than a few restaurants that could learn from them)
I had a burger, the rest of the family had pancakes. No complaints from anybody. My burger was medium well as requested, one nice bun with crispy fries and some veggies.
In the afternoon we enjoyed what little sun was available on the terrace with a coffee. Here also the staff was friendly and attentive.
