Chinees restaurant Tong Ah Noordwijk — Restaurant in Noordwijk

We came into Noodwijk one summer evening recently, mainly looking for an Asian based dinner. We struck upon Tong Ah but were a bit nervous as none of the tables outside were occupied. Was this restaurant popular? However, when I walked inside to visit the restrooms I saw a number of people dining inside. So, all good I presumed.

The friendly young lady who came out to serve us was excellent. Firstly she brought some water for our dog, took our drinks order (a large draft Heineken beer & blackcurrant cordial) and then having brought them to us, she proceeded to help us with ordering our food. I wanted something hot and spicy. She recommended taking two half portions on Thai red curry and Kong Pao chicken with cashew nuts, vegetables & pepper. She recommended also a portion of rice. My wife went for fried noodles with huge prawns. All delicious.

What we appreciated was not only the quality of the food, the large portions but the care and attention that the young lady paid to us to ensure that our stay at Tong Ah was pleasurable. She did a great...

Zu Karneval sind wir regelmäßig in Noordwijk und ein Besuch von Tongh ah ist "Pflicht". Unser Besuch am 23.2.20 hat uns sehr enttäuscht (ich schreibe diese Bewertung, in der Hoffnung, dass es im nächsten Jahr wieder so ist wie früher!) Wartezeit (trotz Reservierung) - 1 Std. 10 Min Statt Rotwein kam Weißwein Ein vegetarisches Gericht war nicht gar und schon kalt, als es serviert wurde Als Starter ("Gruß-aus der -Küche") gab es bisher immer Kroepoek Die Wärmeplatte für die Reistafel war zu klein Der Reis war verklumpt Die Tomatensuppe hatte den Charm einer Dosensuppe Früher gab es zur Bezahlung noch Süßigkeiten Das durchweg junge Personal wirkte überfordert (der alte Herr, der ansonsten die Regie führte, fehlte sehr - bei ihm wären Gäste mit Hund zumindest separat gesetzt worden - so hatten wir an beiden Nachbartischen einen Hund... - zur Ehrenrettung von Noordwijk muss ich sagen, dass in vielen Geschäften - vor allen Dingen mit Lebensmitteln - Hunde verboten sind) Eine Entschuldigung für all diese Missstände bestand aus einem sich möglichst schnellen Entfernen der jungen Mitarbeiterin.
