Joh. Warmerdam — Restaurant in Noordwijk

Hankering for some much missed Dutch cheese so we were happy to find this place. Beautiful clean shop with some great cheeses to choose from. We got geitenkaas met fenegriek (goats cheese with fenugreek) and jong belegen (short maturation of 8-10 weeks) for the kids.

We might’ve indulged in a few more questions if it hadn’t of been so busy because the customer in front of us was already engrossed in a lengthy taste testing when we came in. It’s a testament to their knowledge and expertise as cheese mongers.

We’ll be back.. hopefully with some room to chat. The Balkans don’t offer the same depth and variety of cheese so we’ll be sure get those questions in and have ourselves a good ol’ fashioned cheese and wine night! (As all good cheese shops should have, they offer wine and sweets...
