I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant De Burgemeester in Oirschot and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Tucked away in the charming town of Oirschot, this cozy restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a delightful meal with friends and family.

From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles and were incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal. The quaint, rustic decor creates a sense of comfort and relaxation, allowing you to truly enjoy your time there.

While I could go on and on about the Asparagus Risotto, it would be remiss not to mention the rest of the menu, which offers a range of appetizers, main courses, and desserts that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences. The chef clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in the quality and presentation of each dish.

Despite the fact that the plate as served did not match what was presented on the menu (and explicitly discussed while ordering), the food was really well prepared and was delicious.

At times we felt hidden in plain sight. Tables around us seemingly got a lot of attention, whereas we had to wait quite some time to order food and drinks, even though staff did notice, for example, our empty glasses. The time between appetizer and main course was quite long as well.

Ik probeer altijd eerlijk mijn mening te geven. En ik hoop altijd dat de lezer van mijn review weet én beseft dat mijn woorden gebaseerd zijn puur op dat ene bezoek van mij aan de betreffende locatie. Zo ook deze.

Ik vond de bediening rond uit beroerd. Personeel liep inefficient rond. Eentje kwam zelfs in het begin niet verder dan de overkapping.

En in mijn ogen ben je inefficient bezig als je met volle handen naar binnen loopt en vervolgens met lege handen weer naar buiten komt, terwijl op het terras mensen zitten te wachten op hun bestelling. Dit gebeuren was niet eenmalig, maar dat gebeurde een aantal keren achter elkaar door.

En was is nou simpeler dan de doppen van 2 flesjes fris te verwijderen en deze uit te serveren? Toen wij uiteindelijk onze bestelling kregen (inderdaad die 2 flesjes fris), was het ijs in de bijbehorende glazen al aardige gesmolten. Met andere woorden: onze consumpties stonden al een tijdje klaar om te worden uit geserveerd, maar door het eerder beschreven inefficient werken, stond dit gewoon maar te staan binnen.

En zeg aub niet "Ik kom zo bij u", terwijl je dat niet waar kunt maken. Efficient werken én collega's sturen ipv zelf ooit een keer komen, kan een hoop ergernis bij dr klanten voorkomen. En die ergenis cq verbazing over de manier van werken was bij meer klanten te zien.
