Kees Kroket — Restaurant in Oss

Utterly unpalatable slop, but I guess technically it is food. Feeling a bit peckish, I thought I try out this fast food place. Not the sort of place where you expect high quality, but at least the bare minimum should not be to much to ask.

I tries the cheeseburger thinking : "Nobody can really mess up a cheeseburger". Well, apparently they can and for 4 euro's this simply is daylight robbery.

The (we assume) meat is the cheapest, blandest, processed frozen patty you can imagine. It comes out of the fryer medium hot and very dry, albeit not as dry as the bun which is like chewing on cotton balls with a sprinkle of sand.

The yellow plastic like slice of fake cheddar of which there is only one hasn't even started to melt, the "meat" is THAT cold. There are some veggies and sauces involved, slapped on the bun with no real attention, it is just a layer cake of flaccid mediocrity aimed at the lowest tasteless common denominator.

This was far less than the bare minimum. This was rock bottom. For 4 euro's your at least expect a patty you can identify as meat, bread that has a nice texture and some attention to details. How much more effort is it to blow torch the cheese and the bun for a couple of seconds?

I left feeling more empty than I came it. My advice is : Do not eat this trash, even if you are desperate and are getting payed to do so. Dying of hunger is preferable to consuming this...

Heerlijke frikandellen uit de muur! Elke week vaste prik voor mij. Maar beste Kees, uw loketautomaten zijn helaas wel erg vies. Als je het luikje opentrekt, zit er tussen de randjes bij de scharnieren bij heel veel vakjes resten van met name kroketten en bamischijven. U doet er goed aan om eens een avondje met een paar mensen met wat wattenstokjes, vetoplossers en raggertjes aan de slag te gaan. Ik snap ook dat dit er tijdens openingstijden bij inschiet. Het is maar een tip....

Ze weten altijd precies waarvoor ik kom. Kipburgers met joppiesaus en uitjes. Ik kom hier al jaren en blijf altijd terug komen omdat het eten altijd super lekker is. En nog belangrijker het personeel is altijd vriendelijk en maakt graag een praatje met je. Voor de verandering vandaag nog een lihanboutje erbij gepakt die komen vers van de bouman (de beste groothandel in snacks voor Oss en omstreken) een aanraden voor iedereen deze...
