I can't express enough how many issues I encountered in one night. The experience reminded me of an outdated Pakistani restaurant at the corner of Anarkali Bazar.
1: Regarding hygiene, their tables were very sticky. After changing to another table, it was in the same unclean condition. The windows were so dirty that it seemed they had never been cleaned. I'm unsure about the kitchen's cleanliness, but it's likely similar. (Pictures attached)
2: The food was good and sufficient in quantity, thankfully not messed up. It saddened me that despite having the quality to produce such a taste, they seemed ungrateful. (Pictures attached)
3: Employees at the main counter were discussing their lives, leaning against the wall, and putting minimal effort into customer service. When customers left, tables weren't cleaned properly, reflecting a lack of commitment. I've never seen restaurant staff with such an attitude.
4: Despite it not being very busy, my order was mixed up with another in billing. Unfortunately, I didn't check the receipt on the spot, indicating employees making earnings with zero effort.(Bill in pictures attached)
5: The Kashmiri chai was very bad and cold. I strongly advise against ordering it. If I ever return, it'll be solely for the food, though I acknowledge their kitchen might not be very clean.
Advice to the restaurant owner: Train your staff, especially with foreign customers trying your country's food. Don't tarnish your country's name due to unhygienic employees. Or ask me next time and i will be glad...
Read moreBest in Rotterdam, it’s no joke 🤯 honestly Biryani house has been on my to eat list for a while but did not get a chance to visit as I normally eat out on weekend for lunch but they are only open from 1430🥲 anyways, did not feel like cooking and was starving after work today so decided to visit Biryani house and was so satisfied!
We wanted to order chicken tikka biryani and sultani biryani, but I was also craving for naan, so asked to get a plain naan as well. The staff (or maybe he is the owner I don’t know) suggested us to get chicken Karachi instead of chicken tikka biryani because otherwise there is nothing to eat with the plain naan and it would get very dry and tasteless. You can tell they care about the whole experience for you instead of just making the order without considering if it’s a good fit!
It’s for sure not the cheapest but still very affordable biryani one could get in town and I would say it definitely worth the price!
Will for sure visit again! They have an extensive menu and I still have a lot that I would like to give it a try! 😋
Oh right, we also order chicken pakora, it looks like the usual fried chicken you can get from other places but it’s actually different, the crisp is made with chickpea flour, and the texture is not the same as those what I...
Read moreI ordered a takeaway meal from Biryani House for the first time today. I ordered the Chicken Karahi, with Pilaf. The presentation is stunningly gorgeous, quantity of food was outstanding and the food was so delicious and hearty, I almost cried because the food was so delicious, the curry was really flavourful and the chicken was really tender! The pilaf and raita were really delicious accompaniments to this outstanding curry! I would definitely eat here again! Excellent Pakistani/Desi/North Indian cuisine for a really competitive and fair price! The ambience of the restaurant felt really nice and cozy and I was surprised by how little time I waited (around fifteen to twenty minutes at most). The restaurant staff were also really kind and their service was impeccable! Perhaps next time I visit Rotterdam, I will dine-in at the restaurant! 1000/10 would recommend if you crave Pakistani/Desi/North Indian cuisine in the...
