Restaurant Casereccio — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I cannot understand how this restaurant has 4.7 stars. The main meal portions are tiny and over priced. We waited forever to get our main course, while we were waiting the waiter offered us a platter which we refused. Then we were offered bruschetta and said ok. 6 small toasts with tomato and aubergine arrived. Tasty but tiny. When we got the bill we were charged 29€ for our tomato toast- outrageous! When I complained we got a 14.50€ discount. Overall very disappointing, we felt totally ripped off and we left still hungry. An experience we will not be repeating. Quality of the food is not wat it used to be. It used to be good; but it has been several times that everything is off.

Unfortunately last weekend was the last. Calzone was overcooked, dough was completely off (dense) and poorly stuffed with a drizzle of tomato sauce outside, why?. Which was odd.

Pizza besides that it didn’t meet the food requirements (add ons) was the least of the problem; the main problem was the pizza dough; it was dense and burned.

A spontaneous dinner planned here, super glad that we visited this lovely place. The staff were super friendly and considerate with dietary limitations. We ordered a bruschetta which came in no time, it was so delicious and fresh. It definitely opened up our appetite for the main dish. A salad and a pasta, which took a bit over 40 minutes to come after the bruschetta. Although the wait time was a bit long, the food was absolutely delicious, we cleared the plate completely.
