Ocean Paradise – Korean BBQ, Wok & Sushi — Restaurant in Sittard-Geleen

I had just ok experience there. Here is something maybe could help the restaurant improve.

Food: the food was ok, some tasty but seems not much option. Sushi is pretty boring taste and doesn't have extravagant taste too. Soup is way too sweet(maybe I consider as warm desert lol) . For dessert, dont expect they have Pancakes, poffertjes or warm waffles because they don't 🤣

Parking : not much parking space, so you gotta be lucky to get it!

Toilet & baby changing room: they have toilet for handicap same floor as restaurant and for women&men downstairs. They don't have such proper baby changing table(what they have more to DIY baby changing table where they put cushion on the table bar). I think maybe better if they invest a proper changing table for baby and they put it in the handicap toilet due to safety issues. Because stairs to go down is a bit too steep. Good chance mom with baby could fall easy there

Playroom: this is the spookiest play room I've ever seen. It's downstairs, without good lighting, only puzzlemat, few broken toys, and L-shape sofa.

Service: They are ok but seems a bit not too friendly. Firstly when we arrive, they didn't ask for payment upfront (other restaurants required payment upfront). Yes we make mistakes by not asking what's the rules. We thought it will be same as few restaurants we been already. Like 2,5 h and drink included. But it's not like that. We have to say upfront if we want the drink to be included otherwise they will charge the buffet without drink and we need to pay drink separately. Of course as a first timer in that restaurants have no idea about it. Maybe the waiter supposedly ask first right?

Maagverkleining? Ga hier niet eten. Achteraf gezien had ik het kunnen weten aangezien iemand het al benoemd heeft in een review. Er wordt niks met de prijs gedaan. Er wordt niet eens geluisterd naar je vraag, als ze het woord maagverkleining hoort dan zie je een valse glimlach op haar gezicht en de euro tekens al in haar ogen; iemand waar ze volledig aan verdienen maar amper kosten aan kwijt zijn.

Meisje van de bediening wilde wel nog mee denken, dat ik van de kaart zou bestellen en de rest gewoon zou wokken. Dit mocht niet, dit omdat ze niet konden controleren dat ik niet zou gaan wokken. Vertrouwen in je gasten kun je natuurlijk ook hebben.

Buiten dit is er het feit van kruisbesmetting. Vlees kan ik niet verdragen wat geen probleem is door de hoeveelheid vis. Echter leggen ze alle vis bij elkaar op display, laat ik nou zwaar allergisch zijn voor coquille waardoor de rest van de vis op deze manier ook een risico wordt.

De BBQ is door de week gesloten, nog minder keuze. Staat overigens nergens vermeld.

Wat betreft corona maatregelen, ze komt schijnheilig met een spray aanlopen, gegevens achterlaten en dan stopt het. De zaak was zo goed als leeg, toch worden mensen dicht bij elkaar gezet. Mensen worden niet aangesproken.

Tot slot, het all in principe wordt je door de bazin de strot in geduwd. We hadden besloten het drinken apart te doen, opeens staat de bazin aan tafel om te vragen of we all in doen. Mijn vriend die hoorde alleen all you can eat dus hij zei ja. Toen was mevr heel snel weg en hebben we ook niemand meer gezien om het drinken op te nemen. Het enige wat netjes was is dat ze voor mij de prijs zonder drinken heeft aangehouden, hierbij kreeg ik wel een sneer dat ik de volgende keer minimaal 1 drankje moest bestellen. Als ik dat zou doen dan zit ik niet na 3 stukjes sushi maar na 1tje al vol. Mja, voor ons is er toch geen...
