The young waitress was extremely rude to me.

When I first arrived, I sat on the only empty table in the shade (it was a hot sunny day). The table still had some empty dishes from the previous diners. When the young lady finished taking my order, I asked her nicely if she could help me clean the plates from the previous diners as well. She responded by telling me that I could have sat at the other tables and said "How can I clean the tables when they just left" as she cleaned the plates with an attitude.

I ordered the egg toast and salmon wrap on a fairly busy day. I waited patiently for over 20 minutes before asking the same waiter politely if she knew how much longer our order would take (because I have a scheduled boat tour soon). She responded by saying with a very rude tone "How should I know, I dont work in the kitchen".

The food was okay. Typical of Dutch cuisine and fairly expensive as expected in a tourist area like Giethoorn. There is a large field right beside the restaurant that had a tractor spreading manure, so we could smell manure as we were dining. But I still didnt really mind this. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The waiter mistakenly served us the wrong dish, which we were unaware of at the time. My friend and I tried a couple of bites, thinking it was something we had ordered. Later, the manager informed us that the dish actually belonged to another table, and asked if we would be willing to replace one of our original dishes with this one instead.

I politely declined, explaining that the dish I ordered was something I specifically wanted to try. However, the manager insisted that we had to keep the wrong dish and remove one of our original orders. I was shocked by this unreasonable request. It was the restaurant’s mistake, yet we were expected to bear the consequences.

I reiterated that I did not want to change my order, but the manager told me we had no choice since we had already eaten part of the mistaken dish. I have never encountered such poor handling of a staff error before, and I left feeling very disappointed by the way the situation...

This place is a disaster I came with my husband and we were trying to order food and a big fat lady was so rude to us she was very jealous we were so kindly asking her if we can order but she seemed so unhappy with her miserable life she said the stoped serving anything only dinner at 5 pm and it was 5:10 but every table had drinks so I asked again if we can order anything else because we like the place she looked at us and asked us to leave she was such a miserable person to hire in a peaceful beautiful location this is a disappointment we are in 2022 if you can accept tourists then sit at home I come from California ,Los Angeles and we welcome people from all over the world so I hope the management look back at the camera and see their employee giving us a middle finger In front of all their customers at the Resturant … make sure to hire young people who understands the value of tourists and respect their customers the incident happened on July...
