Bad Experience We went there for dinner today. We're a group of 9 (with 5 kids) standing in their waiting area, waiting for a staff to assist us. All staffs pass by without any greetings whatsoever. Finally, we're able to get the attention of one of staffs and ask if there's an available place for us. He pointed us to a two separate tables and said that those were the only available spots for us... We took it since kids were getting hungry and has to travel back home for 2hrs. We waited for sometime and nobody even bothered to give a menu. We asked for one and nothing came. One menu on the other table was displayed and from there we chose our orders. It took some time for a lady staff to take our drinks and said that the menu we're looking at has to be replaced with a new one! So okay, we waited for minutes to get the new menu only to find out the prices were the ones changed on our intended orders. Okay, we're still set to give our orders. By that time busyness of the restaurant is dying down. We attempted to call out staffs to give our orders, not 1, not 2, but 3 times! All of them saying "my colleague will get the order for you". And at this point, empty tables are more so visible obviously indicating it's not busy anymore. More and more minutes and they just kept on passing our tables, avoiding any chance to get called out. Finally, losing our patience, we decided to stand up and pay the drinks ordered and gave some words how disappointing it was like we were invisible. You wouldn't get any service if you don't try hard to get their attention. Oh, and don't forget to greet them coz you won't receive any when you enter...

We visited this restaurant for lunch as part of our Giethoorn day trip and the experience was ruined by the mid ged lady waitress who was very rude and gave signs of differential treatment. We asked to be seated inside but she said to sit in the outer glass covered area a bit rudely but we just ignored it and sat where she asked. At the end of our meal we asked for a glass of water. She came and asked for other local people that who wanted water and they all said we didn't ask for it. I kept saying that we asked for it and not the other group but she just ignored and when everyone else denied she came bumped the bottle and glass on our table and went away. This seemed like a very biased treatment and service. We are coming to make good memories and not to be mistreated like this. I hope the owner acknowledges this issue and tries to make experience of other tourists better. All other staff was nice and food was fine except this particular mid aged lady who seemed very bias to...

We had booked a canal tour package online that included an evening snack (warm apple pie and hot beverage), a canal tour with skipper and a three course dinner. The restaurant was very easy to find as it is located right at the entrance of the village. We loved the apple pie and went on to really enjoy the canal cruise which included lots of anecdotes and information from our skipper. After the cruise, when we returned to the restaurant, we had the choice of either being served from the set menu or ordering something else from the menu and being returned the money that we paid for the dinner (as part of the tour package).

Since we were a family of 4, 3 of us decided to order something we found interesting from the menu and only one of us went with the pre-designed menu. The seafood that we had ordered, which included, roasted sea bass and smoked salmon with hollandaise sauce was marvelous and the chicken was good too.

Would surely recommend this place to anybody...
