Alright, I've been ordering at Papa Johns several times and as much as I liked the quality and service for the price, it has changed immensly over the past weeks!
In my last w orders, I have ordered extra snack as well as sauces - none of them have arrived. I tried to called the restautant for a refound (or a discount/ extra point for next order but nobody bothered to picked up. I have been calling each time the iteam was missing for over an hour as I was motivated to have my 2-3 euros back, but had no response back. The order took 1 hour to be delivered even though it takes max 5-10min by bike, I can however understand that it was busy at that time. The last points are minor in comparison to this one, listen me out: the same pizzas that are being served in this location are not consistent (!) with other pizzas being served at other Papa Johns locations in the Netherlands. I have ordered Vegan Sheese® Garden Party in Rotterdam once, the taste of the cheese was normal (people who tried vegan cheese know that the consistency and taste is a bit different). However the consistency of the same pizza in this location was rubbery and tested more like mashed goat cheese - which was nothing like the pizza I ordered before and nowhete near a pizza that I would normally order as it was just disgusting!
The last point is really worried as it seems that the receipt (and maybe even other receipts) differ in this location from others, which tells nothing more but Papa Johns being another big cooperation counting on scamming their...
Read moreI read the reviews and was honestly worried about my order, however, things became clear when I received my Pizzas. They were a bit late, but delicious! I later on checked with the Manager and understood the reasons for the reviews. Most of them related to deliveries, and having a small staff doesn't always help, a reason also for them not being able to pick up the customer's phone during peak hours (mostly 6pm to 9 pm) when the entire staff gets into preparing the customer's orders. While not discrediting the existing reviews of the people who've had a bad experience, I also felt the absence of good reviews on the shop and their food leaving me struck that good service is not always appreciated, a bit biased in this case. I therefore encourage everyone to give them another chance and share their experiences whether good or bad. The delivery boys try and do their best to get the orders to the customer, but please don't turn a blind eye to the Dutch weather, they still bike, and continue to deliver your orders. Additionally, always remember, online platforms such as Uber eats and Thuisbezorgd don't actually calculate an order's delivery time when a bad weather hits the area, so cut some slack to the Pizza shop, your Pizza will be there nonetheless, and the owner takes active measures if anything goes wrong with your order. All said and done, try them out, but also don't fall for the low ratings. The shop continues to exist and has hundreds of orders...

So I ordered during a busy evening when the place had a "buy 1 get 1 free" promotion on some of their items. I ordered a 1+1 pepperoni pizza and a 1+1 cinnamon bun special with 2 extra sauces. When the order arrived the driver had 1 box of pizza and 2 boxes of cinnamon buns. I asked him about the second pizza and sauces I had ordered and once we had checked we realized that he had never been given the secon pizza or the two extra sauces I ordered. I had already accepted that I will be having one pizza less tonight and that I will simply ask for my money back from Uber Eats (where I had ordered) for the missing items. I turned to go back upstairs to my appartment when the delivery boy promised me that he would soon be back with my missing pizza. I sort of laughed it off and reminded him that it was OK and went upstairs. But not 20 minutes later there was a person at my door with a fresh pizza, apologizing once again for the mistake and long waiting time..
