Helemaal van boven de rivieren neergestreken voor een concert in 013. Er moest nog even snel een bodempje worden gelegd en dat is bij 't Wolfke uitstekend gelukt. Wat een fijne zaak, een snackbar zoals ze oorspronkelijk zijn bedacht. Hartelijke dame aan de toonbank en een gemoedelijke sfeer. Had wel het idee dat de frites het vet al meer dan 1x had getoucheerd maar de combinatie met de ajam pangang en het Bavaria pilske compenseerde dat ruimschoots.

Beste friettent uit Tilburg. Ik zat laatst in de trein en iemand vroeg waar ik vandaan kwam. "Uit Tilburg", antwoordde ik. "Welke straat?" "Lange Nieuwstraat". De onbekende zit ineens rechtop in z'n stoel. Met grote ogen zegt ie: "Lange Nieuwstraat? Daar zit 't Wolfke! Beste friettent van Tilburg!" De man kwam zelf uit Groningen, komt zelden in Tilburg. Als zo'n persoon je deze eer geeft, weet je dat dit dé beste friettent uit Tilburg is. Moet je zelf een hun friet proeven of een praatje maken met de eigenaren (super vriendelijk), dan zul je zelf zien wat deze tent is: de (je raadt het al) beste friettent van...

Zie veel negatieve berichten en natuurlijk kan er wel eens wat mis gaan. Maar ik heb hier een prima frietje met satesaus gehad, geen slechte frietjes of kleine stukjes ertussen. Ze hebben hier zowaar de eierbal (maar maak ze niet allemaal op, want ik moet nu regelmatig hier een eierballeke halen). Had nog nooit een stoofvleeskroket gehad, maar deze was ook prima in orde. Let op: het is allemaal niet heel groot binnen. Dus voor veel mensen zal afhalen...
