HELLO FOODIES🤪 Today I have marti for you guys!! It’s a Turkish restaurant in utrecht📍 Delicious Turkish dishes, attractive interior, and a super nice view on the water🌊. De ligging is prachtig. Het eten valt helaas wel tegen. Later teruggekomen om te borrelen en dat was dan weer wel lekker zowel de nacho’s als de loaded fries.

Absoluut niet lekker gegeten hier. Het vlees was oké, ook al werd er gevraagd om medium en kreeg ze doorbakken. De kipspies was wel lekker van smaak. Maar de rijst die erbij zat was plakkerig en geen lekkere luchtige turkse rijst. De champignonsaus was zo’n kleine portie waar nauwelijks champignon in zat. In plaats van lekker gegrilde groenten krijg je half gekookte rauwe wortel, sperzieboon en broccoli. De loaded fries sloegen al helemaal nergens op, harde patat waar nauwelijks op te kauwen was (smaakte alsof het oude patat was en/of al vaker gebakken is). De kaas was al hard toen we het kregen, waardoor je het niet lekker ‘cheesy’ kon opeten en de saus die eroverheen zat was niet lekker. Niet te spreken over de mini garnaaltjes die erdoorheen zaten, je verwacht bij een loaded fries wel ‘echte’ grote garnalen. De gefrituurde kip erop was ook niet lekker. Loaded fries dus zeker GEEN aanrader! Jammer. Personeel was ook niet geweldige, dus die maakte de ervaring er ook niet beter op helaas. Locatie was wel mooi, zaak is leuk ingericht! Niet voor herhaling vatbaar, teleurgesteld en zonde van het geld.

We had a great dining experience with exceptional service throughout.

We began our meal with the beef carpaccio, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh and flavorful. When we placed our order, we included both the appetizer and main course. Our server thoughtfully asked whether we wanted the main course to follow immediately after the starter or if we preferred to let them know when we were ready. This small gesture made us feel truly welcomed and well taken care of.

For the main course, we chose the Bonfile (tenderloin), cooked medium rare. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service remained impressively fast. The dish was served with grilled vegetables, French fries, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Everything was simply delicious, especially the tenderloin, which was one of the most tender cuts of meat I’ve ever had.

To finish, we enjoyed a pistachio cheesecake along with Turkish tea.

I really appreciated the pace of the meal and the kindness of the staff. I would absolutely recommend this...

It might be a good restaurant for lunch but, unfortunately, I am not sure about dinner. We ordered Adana Kebap as a main dish and, it was absolutely not Adana Kebap. It came to our table less than 5 minutes after we ordered and it was not warm. There was no right spice combination, did not have a kebap smell and taste. It was served with boiled carrot and broccoli which is normally never used as a side dish next to Adana Kebap. All in all, It was completely a homemade mum köfte but with an oily version.
