Need to say it’s a nice place, good and fast service and helpful people. However the floormanager or whoever was in charge was too disturbed, and completely rude to all of us. We are going there to have nice time, not to deal with a problem maker. You might have rules, like not accepting birthday cake, but try to come with a positive & problem solving attitude rather than being complete buzz killer. It’s way easier to say, you need to pay for service which noone disagreed. Also when we enter the place we asked to 2 different person if we can put some balloons and happy birthday slinger, they said its okay if we remove it when we are going away. Perfect. Same person came and complained that she didnt approve this, nobody asked for her permission, you cannot have confetti. hereby mentioned confetti is the confetti in a balloon, and she said if its bursts we need to clean it. We are okay to clean too, and we mentioned we asked for permission, but she kept being buzkiller. Nevertheless, rest of the service people were completely kind and good, but this attitude is a bit...
Read moreWonderful location on a sunny day. The positives stop right there. The first thing I noticed was how old and weather-worn the place is. I understand it's outdoors and rustic, but there comes a time when you need to refresh. You are literally sitting on years old repurposed pallets, cracked benches and tables likely there since they opened their doors. It's a bit of a dump, really. The service is incredibly slow. We started with just two beers and they got the order wrong. How does that happen? The food is ready-made or frozen and pretty awful. Nothing was fresh. Everything was overpriced. Six euros for a 33cl Erdinger?! It’s the Netherlands. Salsa and guacamole clearly coming from jars you can get at the supermarket. Terrible trend here in Utrecht. It's offensive as a patron to be charged for ready-made, store-bought food... My suggestion, bring a blanket along with a cooler full of treat and set yourself up...
Read moreRidiculously bad service! Ordered food and drinks, half an hour later, drinks still hadn't arrived, so I asked about them. Guy behind the bar just shrugged at me, when I asked if he could check the tickets, just got a flat, "No." Unbelievably rude! A waitress came up and confirmed the order had been placed and drinks shortly after arrived. By 40 mins, still no sign of food, yet people who'd ordered after us were getting theirs. Asked again...."large order immediately in front of you...just doing you're right now....next out." BS! Another 10 minutes, I asked again, nobody came back, so at 1 hour we started gathering our things to leave, as the kids were hungry, and the food arrived. Pretty dismal fare. Then when we went to pay, the bill was wrong! Seriously?!!!! Don't waste your time. Ruined the first day of...
