We used to be regular customers before the restaurant closed temporarily. We have had times before where food took long but the food was always really tasty. Yesterday night we went there for dinner with a social deal 3 course meal, it was the first time we went back since they re-opened. Our experience was not a good one and we will not be spending our money there ever again. We arrived at 19h30 for dinner. The starter took 45 minutes to arrive, the dirty plates stayed on the table until the second course was served, which was after an aditional 40 or so minutes. My husband ordered the entrecôte which costs 5€ extra. It was served burned and overcooked on the inside, my husband couldn’t eat it because it tasted so bad and was like chewing rubber. To go with the entrecôte there were some cold and unseasoned boiled potato’s. He barely touched his food. I politely shared my feedback about the poor quality of the entrecôte with the staff present. By this time it’s past 21h (closing time). Then we were too disappointed and full for desert so we asked for it to go. I asked for a strawberry waffle without Nutella. Once that was ready, they handed us the to go boxes, I paid and we left. Despite all of this we were still charged the extra 5€ for that terrible entrecôte, and also charged for an expensive beer that we did not drink (because the keg had run out after we ordered). Then I get home and realize my waffle is covered in a huge cloud of Nutella, so I had to throw it out… On a Friday night, with around 10 tables with clients, they had 1 young man cooking and one young girl serving, that was it. I don’t find it acceptable, it becomes almost impossible to provide good food and service this way. We ended up leaving around 22h (1 hour after closing time), the whole time we were there 2 hours 30 min) our leftover glasses and drink bottles were not collected from our table. Was very disappointing and we will not be...
Read moreWe had reserved a table for 7. Uppon arrival we sat at a table that was full of clutter from previous customers. After a wait of 20 minutes we had asked one of the waiters if they could please help us clear the table since we were also young kids among us who would start grabbing stuff. Short after, one of the waiters came and grabbed 3 cups and didnt come back. We asked again for the table to be cleared and for a menu so we could start picking our food of choice. We got the menu and yet again noone came to clear our table..
45 minutes later we got the table cleared and we could order our drinks..
When ordering the drinks none of the waiters mentioned anything on the menu being sold out. We all odered our beverages and meals. Just for the waiter to come back aftrr yet a gain a long time and inform us that prod. XXX was sold out. Then when we had settled that matter we were told that another product had run out of stock. Upon asking what IS available.. we figured that almost half of the table had to order either a differend beverages or meal.. they would have had us wait longer thinking our drink are coming if we didnt ask..
Then when the drinks came out, 2 of us got the peach iced tea served in two totally different glasses. 1 gigantic class (this common ikea glass, those who know.. know) and the other a medium glass.. made no sense.. they paid both same price..
Then 1 of us ordered Eggy..(something) and they came out after 30 minutes with a breakfast platter.. without the egg..
Mind you.. in the mean time we see other people come in and being served food.. they had already finished round two..
At this point my son of 2 had fever of sitting in the sun and no food or drinks.. for over 1 hour of sitting on that terrace..
A terrible experience on a beautiful sunny...
Read moreI went with my boyfriend on Saturday morning for brunch, first time being there, the place was less than 1/3 full and yet we were told right upon arrival the food would take at least 30 minutes to get ready. We said we didn't mind although we really didn't understand why it would take so long. Not only the food, but also the drinks - coffee, juice - took ages to be served.
I had a waffle, he had pancakes, both were served completely cold; the waffle was so sweet, dry and hard that I could barely finish it - only did because I was very hungry, which is also the reason why I didn't send it back to be warmed up, otherwise I would have to wait another half hour probably. The eggs we ordered on the side looked (and tasted) like they had been fried one hour ago - very ugly and rubbery. Also I thought 15 euros for one single waffle with four slices of apple on it was definitely not worth it, not the way it was served there.
I mentioned it to the manager and he was very unfriendly and rude, almost intimidating. After a long exhausting conversation he decided to not charge for the waffles at least, but making it very clear that I was wrong.
We have been to the other Anna's Pancake location and the experience was so wonderful that we expected at least something close to that. Very disappointed, and definitely never...
