The owner seemed nice at first, but the overall impression of the stay was very negative. I felt uncomfortable with the way the guests were treated, including a lack of respect for privacy that I found inappropriate. The atmosphere was tense and communication with the owner was often unpleasant. The internet did not work and some situations, such as unexpected charges without a clear explanation, disappointed me. Me de card "gift for you ", ter waarde van 49 euro dachten we een leuke avond te hebben. Helaas. Bij binnenkomst in een vrij leeg restaurant kregen we een glaasje bubble wine zonder enige uitleg en een geroosterd stukje stokbrood met tomaat. Een kwartier later werd er gevraagd of de witte wijn al geserveerd kon worden terwijl het eerste glas nog half vol zat. Of we even mochten wachten....Al snel werd de witte wijn wederom zonder enige uitleg geserveerd met stukje stokbrood met geitekaasje. Moeilijk eten omdat het nu slechts op één bordje lag. Weer een kwartier later wilden ze de rode wijn brengen. Zo snel kan ik niet drinken dus maar een cola in de plaats besteld. weer een kleine versnapering erbij op één bordje en omdat de hapjes zo klein en miniem waren had ik olijven besteld....We kregen een paar zoute slappe olijven uit een goedkope pot (heb ik teruggegeven) waar we achteraf 5 euro voor moesten betalen. Binnen no time stond er een glas rosé klaar en nog een minihapje. Zelf nog een bordje friet met 7 bitterballen erbij besteld omdat we trek hadden. Hiervoor 15 euro betaald uiteindelijk. Een ervaring rijker, dus nooit meer!! TIP: neem een voorbeeld aan het Jacobscafé in Vlissingen. Daar is de high wine een feestje. Ik was al gewaarschuwd....De Pelgrim niet doen, duur...
